Cotton Collage is a premier institute of higher education located in the heart of Guwahati, the capital city of Assam, a northeastern state of India. It was opened on 27th May 1901 by Sir Henry Stedman Cotton who was then chief commissioner of the erstwhile British province of Assam. Started with humble beginning with five professors and 39 students, the university offers world-class education and research facilities to the students to take on the challenges of tomorrow by learning technical skills and modern education.
The university offers three-year (six-semester) Degree courses in Science and Arts. The admission to the college is given purely on merit and is subject to the Cotton College State University regulations. Post Graduate courses in Arts and Science for the session 2015-16 in M.A. / M.Sc./MCA/ PGDCA/ other PG Diploma courses is offered in 22 subjects and in 21 Departments of CCSU. M.A./ M.Sc. courses are of two-year duration while MCA is three years and PGDCA is of one-year duration respectively.
Admission to a Post-Graduate degree and diploma programs is given purely on a merit basis keeping in view of reservation polices of the state. The candidates who pass their respective examinations from the recognized universities can only apply for the admission in PG Classes. Cotton College State University Result 2024
Cotton University (previously named as Cotton College) (CU) declares the exam results on its official website, https://cottonuniversity.ac.in/index. The CU conducts a series of semester exams and annual exams each year. Candidates who appear for the exams that CU hosts have to access its official website to check their results.
Before releasing the exam results, CU announces the dates on which they will be accessible via its official website. On the stipulated dates, students should visit the university website and search for the “Academics” tab on the home page. Then, from the drop-down menu, they should select the “Examinations & Results” tab and then the “Results” tab.
If any student notices any discrepancies in his/her CU exam result, he/she must contact the university representatives, who will make the requisite corrections.
