JEECUP Application Form 2024 (Out) – Apply Online
The governing body that conducts the admission process of the Polytechnic colleges in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) is the Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEEC). Every year, the JEEC holds the state-level entrance exam, JEECUP, for the eligible candidates to pursue the 3-4 year professional Diploma courses. Most importantly, the aspirants should study the eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance exam. This is important because their applications are rejected by the authorities if they are not eligible. Also, they lose their application fee if ineligible.

JEECUP Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: The candidate has to be at least 14 years of age in the year that they are seeking admission. The upper age limit is not mentioned.
Academic Qualification:
Depending on the course they are applying to, the different eligibility criteria are mentioned in the following details.
Diploma in Engineering and Technology: Should pass 10th standard examination while scoring minimum 35% aggregate marks. More so, they have to score minimum 50% marks in Mathematics; and 50% marks in combination with Physics and Chemistry.
Diploma in Agriculture Engineering: Must clear 10th or 12th standard exams, having Agriculture as one of the subjects. Also, they have to score 50% in Mathematics; and 50% in combination with Physics, Chemistry, and Agriculture.
Diploma in Pharmacy: Has to clear 10th or 12th standard exams, with compulsory subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, and Maths or Biology (including Botany and Zoology). Even so, their combined score of Physics and Chemistry must be minimum 50% marks; and in Biology or Maths, they should score minimum 50% marks, in combination.
Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology: Must pass 12th standard exams, having 35% aggregate marks. Besides, they have to score minimum 25% in each subject such as Numerical Ability, Reasoning & Logic, and General Knowledge, and English.
Note: The applicants who are appearing for their 10th standard examination can apply, as well.
JEECUP Application Form
During December, the online application forms are downloadable from the official website. Firstly, the applicant has to get registered on the site. For the same, they have to share few basic details such as valid mobile number and email address. Subsequently, they receive their login credentials for signing into their accounts.
The next step entails logging into their respective accounts for accessing the online application form. Additionally, they have to upload scanned copies of their signature and photograph in the specified format. As part of the application procedure, the applicant has to tender the given application fee, as well. They can make the payment via online and offline modes.
A printout of the filled application form should be maintained with the candidate, too.
JEECUP Exam Pattern
The exam consists of 1 question paper that is for 2.5 hours and is held in online mode. The candidates have to answer 100 objective-type questions. Out of the given 4 options, the candidate has to select the correct answer. They score 4 marks for every correct answer and lose 1 mark for an incorrect answer.
The candidate can request the question paper in Hindi or English language.
JEECUP Admit Card
In Feb after receiving the applications, the admit cards are available to download via the official website. The admit card is important as the authorities verify the same during the exam hall. Thus, the candidate has to carry their respective admit cards to the examination hall. Besides, the admit cards should be checked for any discrepancies. If any, the applicant must notify the authorities for the necessary corrections.
JEECUP Result and Merit List
In March, the Exam Result and Merit List are accessible from the official website. The candidates can view their scores in the entrance examination and qualifying status in their exam results. On the website, they need to enter their details, following which the system is directed to the exam result page. Then, they can take a printout of the same. However, for admissions and seat allotments, the candidate’s State Open Rank is considered.
JEECUP Cutoff
Post declaring the exam results, the authorities hold the counselling sessions. There are several rounds of counselling, having cutoffs in terms of opening and closing ranks.
The candidate, on their part, has to choose the course, college, and counselling rounds to apply for counselling. The authorities consider various parameters such as a number of applications and seat availability, thus the cutoffs of the different institutes vary.
JEECUP Counseling 2024
During counseling, the applicant is required to fill in their choices of programs and institutes. Additionally, there is verification of the candidates’ original documents. To allot seats, the authorities consider the candidate’s Merit Rank and given preferences. The results of seat allotment are published on the official website. Accordingly, the applicant has to visit the college for completion of the rest of the application process.
