JEE Advanced Exam – Preparation Tips

The JEE Advanced exam is for engineering aspirants who want admission in India’s premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The JEE Advanced exam was known as the Indian Institutes of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) until the year 2013 and, thereafter, was renamed.

There are seven zonal IITs (with the inclusion of the Roorkee, Madras, Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, and Guwahati ones) that admit students on the basis of their scores in the JEE Advanced exam. On a rotational basis, the aforesaid IITs conduct the exam.

Additionally, there are other universities that consider the applicant’s scores in the JEE Advanced examination for admission to their engineering programs. These include the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs), the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, and the Indian Institute of Science.

However, to qualify for the JEE Advanced exam, the candidate has to be selected in the JEE Main exam. Only 224000 candidates who have been shortlisted via the JEE Main exam are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced exam.

JEE Advanced: Exam Paper Structure
