Rajasthan TET Eligibility, Application Form, Exam Pattern, Admit Card and Exam Result

The Board of Secondary Education of Rajasthan conducts the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) in India’s Rajasthan state. The Rajasthan TET is held on a state-level and to recruit eligible candidates for teacher posts at Primary Level (Classes I to V) and Secondary Levels (Classes VI to VIII) in Rajasthan’s different schools.

Paper-I is held for aspirants who are interested in the Primary Level Teacher positions; and Paper-II, for candidates who want to apply for the Secondary Level teacher positions. If an applicant wants to appear for both Paper-I and Paper-II, then they should make 2 separate applications for both papers.

To apply for the Rajasthan TET, the candidates have to apply via online mode and before the given deadline. Moreover, the aspirants should read the eligibility norms of the different positions and apply only if they fulfill the eligibility norms.

Rajasthan TET: Eligibility Criteria

  • The aspiring candidates are considered eligible if they:
  • Pass their intermediate exams from recognized educational boards while scoring minimum 45% marks
  • Secure a Diploma in Teacher Education from recognized Teacher Training Institutes
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline, having scored at least 50% minimum marks
  • If awaiting their results for the BEd exam, then also the candidates are considered eligible to apply

For Paper-I

  • The candidate must clear the Senior Secondary exams, or any other equivalent qualification, with minimum 45% scores. Applicants can, also, apply if they are currently studying in the final year of the 2-year Diploma course in Elementary Education or the Diploma program in Education in Special Education or the 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education course.

Or

  • If the aspirant has a BEd degree or a BA/BSc degree with minimum 50% scores, then also they can apply

For Paper-II

  • The aspirant must have a BSc/BA degree. Also, if they are appearing in the final year of the Diploma in Education or BA or BSc with at least 45% aggregate marks, then they are considered eligible for applying

Rajasthan TET: Application Process

To apply for RTET, the candidate should, first, gather all the mandatory documents that include signature and recent photograph.

Then, they must visit the official website, examrtet.rajasthan.gov.in or rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in. Here, they must select the ‘RTET registration’ link and complete the registration process. Upon successful registration, they will receive their login credentials such as username and password.

The next step is to sign in to the respective accounts with their login details and access the RTET Application Form. Then, they have to fill in the required details in the form. Now, they must click on ‘Challan’ and print the same.

Subsequently, they should make the payment via E-Challan and, thereafter, submit the transaction details like deposit amount and transaction amount. Also, they must save and submit the details. Downloading the Confirmation Page and submitting the same to the District Education Officer is compulsory as well.

Then, after receiving all applications, the authorities release the Admit Cards of the eligible candidates.

Rajasthan TET: Admit Card

The examining authorities upload the Admit Cards of the shortlisted candidates on the official website. To access their Admit Cards, on the website, the applicants have to click on the ‘Rajasthan TET Admit Card’ link. Then, they have to enter the necessary details (such as registration number and date of birth) for accessing and downloading their Admit Cards.

The Admit Card is an important document for the authorities to examine the aspirant’s identity. Thus, the candidate has to ensure to carry his Admit Card to the examination hall or else they will not be able to give the exam.

The applicant has to check the important details on the Admit Card as well. These include date of birth, name of candidate, roll number, and various exam details (like venue, time, and date). And in case of any discrepancy, the candidate must inform the authorities for the necessary corrections.

Rajasthan TET: Exam Pattern

Paper-I and Paper-II contain 150 questions each and total to 150 marks with each question carrying 1 mark. The questions are multiple-choice ones, having four options out of which the candidate has to select only one answer. Also, both Paper-I and Paper-II last for 90 minutes each. And for incorrect answers, negative marks are not given.

Paper-I has five sections that carry 30 marks each. These include Child Development & Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environmental Sciences.

Similarly, Paper-II consists of five sections that are for 30 marks each. These include Child Development & Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Maths & Science, and Social Sciences.

Rajasthan TET: Result

The authorities release the exam results on the official website. If a candidate wants to check their result, they can browse the official website and follow by clicking on the ‘Results’ link. The system prompts them to enter their roll number and other details. After entering the required details, the candidates can view and download their respective results.
