The Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) is convened by the Uttarakhand Board of School Examination. The UTET is conducted on a state level to recruit eligible candidates for teacher positions of Primary (classes I-V) and Elementary (classes VI-VIII) classes. After qualifying UTET, the candidates receive the TET Eligibility Certificate. Then, they can apply for teacher posts in government-run and privately-owned schools across India’s Uttarakhand state. UTET: Application Process
The first step in the UTET application process is to browse the official website and get registered. During registration, you have to provide details such as email address and phone number. Then, after registration, you will receive your login details on the given email address. With the login credentials, you must sign in to your respective account to download and, subsequently, fill the different fields in the Online Application Form.
Uploading scanned copies of your recent photograph and signature are part of the application process as well. Additionally, you have to pay the prescribed Application Fee via Card Payment (Debit Card or Credit Card) or Internet Banking.
The final steps comprise reviewing and, then, submitting your application; following which you must maintain a print copy of the Confirmation Page.
UTET: Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility norms for UTET Paper-I and Paper-II are shared below.
For Paper-I
He/she must pass 10+2 while scoring at least 50% aggregate marks.
Or
He/she should secure minimum 50% marks in the Senior Secondary exams and pass the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education program
Or
He/she has to be a graduate in any relevant discipline with a minimum 50% score and complete the Diploma in Education or Bachelor in Education (Special Education) program
For Elementary Classes
He/she must be a graduate in any discipline with a minimum score of 50% and complete the Bachelor of Education program
Or
He/she should have a graduate degree with a minimum score of 45% marks and pass the Bachelor of Education program
Or
He/she should pass SSC exams with at least 50% marks and complete the 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education course
Or
He/she should secure minimum 50% marks in SSC exams with 4-year Bachelor degree in BA/ BScEd or BA Ed/BScEd.
UTET: Selection Process
The UTET candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Exam and Personal Interview.
UTET: Exam Pattern
Paper-I and Paper-II comprise of 150 marks each. Each paper has 150 questions where the candidate can score 1 mark for each correct answer.
Paper-I consists of five sections; and Paper-II, four sections. For Paper-I, each section carries 30 marks and the sections include Child Development Studies, Language-I, Language-II, Environmental Sciences, and Maths.
For Paper-II, three sections (Language-I, Language-II, and Child Studies) carry 30 marks each and 1 section (Mathematics & Science or Social Science) comprises of 60 marks.
UTET: Admit Card
The eligible candidates are informed about the dates on which their Admit Cards are downloadable from the official website. On the given dates they can browse the official site and select the ‘Download Admit Card’ link. Then, after entering few basic details, the system displays their Admit Cards. Thereafter, the applicant must check all the details on the Admit Card, after which they should take a print out of their respective Admit Cards. If the details on the Admit Card require changes, they must contact the examining authorities immediately.
The Admit Cards are mandatory documents that have to be produced by the candidate when appearing for the UTET exam. Thus, the aspirants must ensure to carry their Admit Cards to the exam hall for the authorities to ascertain their identity.
UTET: Result
The stipulated dates on which the UTET results will be available online is notified to the candidates. Only they have to visit the official site and click on the ‘Download Admit Card’ link and enter the required information; then, they can access their results. However, they must keep a print copy of their results for their records as well.
