The conducting body of the Tripura Teacher Eligibility Test is the Teachers’ Recruitment Board of Tripura (TRBT). The Tripura TET is convened for determining the eligibility of aspirants for teacher positions (at Primary Levels and Upper Primary Levels) for schools across India’s Tripura state. The Primary Levels range from classes I to V; and Upper Primary Levels, from classes VI to VIII. The Tripura TET aspirants have to browse the TRBT’s official website, http://www.trb.tripura.gov.in, for applying.
Tripura TET includes two papers that include Paper-I for Primary Level teacher positions and Paper-II for Upper Primary Level teacher positions. Upon qualifying Tripura TET, the successful candidates receive the ‘Eligibility Certificate’ that makes them eligible for applying to Tripura’s schools.
Tripura TET: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for Tripura TET, the candidates must be an Indian National and permanent resident of Tripura.

For Paper-I
He/she should clear 12th standard exams with minimum 50% aggregate marks and pass or be appearing for the final years of the 2-year Diploma course in Elementary Education or the 4-year Bachelor course in Elementary Education or the 2-year Diploma course in Education (Special Education)
Or
He/she should complete graduation from a recognized educational board and the 2-year Diploma course in Elementary Education
For Paper-II
He/she has to secure a BCom/BA/BSc degree and pass or be pursuing the 2nd year of the 2-year Diploma program in Elementary Education
Or
He/she must have BSc/BA/BCom degree with minimum score of 50% aggregate marks and has to pass or be appearing for the 1-year Bachelor course in Education (BEd)
Or
He/she must have a BCom/BSc/BA degree with minimum 45% score and pass or should be pursuing the 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education) course
Or
He/she should score minimum 50% aggregate marks in the 12th standard exams and must have passed or has to be appearing for the 4th year of the BAEd or BScEd courses
Tripura TET: Application Process
The Tripura TET application process is conducted online. The candidates have to browse the site and fill the Online Application Form to apply. However, they have to register on the site beforehand. Upon registration, they get their login details and can, then log in to their accounts to download and, subsequently, fill the Application Form.
Moreover, they have to upload a scanned copy of their recent photograph and signature specimen. Besides, the applicants have to pay the Application Fee.
After completing the formalities, they must review their applications as well. Then, they should select the ‘Submit’ tab and follow by taking a printout of the ‘Confirmation Page’.
Tripura TET: Exam Pattern
Paper-I and Paper-II of Tripura TET are conducted via offline mode. Each paper lasts for 90 minutes and consists of 150 multiple-choice questions where each correct answer carries 1 mark.
However, Paper-I contains five sections; and Paper-II, four sections. The common sections of Paper-I and Paper-II include Child Pedagogy (30 marks), Language-I (30 marks), and Language-II (30 marks).
In addition to the above sections, Paper-I has Maths (30 marks) and Environmental Sciences (30 marks) sections as well. Also, apart from the above-mentioned sections, Paper-II contains a section on Maths & Science (60 marks) or Social Studies (60 marks) for Maths & Science teachers and Social Studies teachers respectively.
Tripura TET: Admit Card
The authorities upload the Admit Cards of the candidates on the official website. Also, the dates on which they Admit Cards are available is notified to the applicants. For accessing their respective Admit Cards, the candidates have to visit the site and enter few basic details, following which the system displays their Admit Cards; then, they must take a printout of their cards.
Admit cards have to be carried to the exam hall. This is important for the authorities to verify the candidate’s identity by the examining authorities.
Tripura TET: Answer Key
The authorities upload the Tripura TET Answer Key on the official website as well. To access the Answer Key, the candidates must click on the ‘Download Answer Key’ option. By doing so, they can review their exam performance and estimate their overall score.
Tripura TET: Exam Result & Merit List
The applicants who pass the Tripura TET appear in the Merit List. They can download the Merit List and their individual results by visiting the official website. On the site, they must click on the ‘Download Merit List’ or ‘Download Exam Result’ option to view the same. The subsequent step is to maintain a print copy of their examination results for their records.
