by The Durgabai Deshmukh College of Special Education (DDCSE) started operations during the year 2006 and comes under the Faculty of Education of the University of Delhi. The College develops teachers who can serve the educational needs of the differently-abled pupils. The Blind Relief Association in New Delhi manages the College. The BRA is a renowned, non-governmental institution and conducts training programs for preparing qualified teachers who can cope with visually-impaired children.

Courses
The College invites applications for undergraduate-level programs. Under undergraduate courses, candidates can apply for the full-time, two-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) for Special Education (Visual Impairment) course.
To be eligible for the BEd course (Special Education), the applicant has to secure a BA or BSc degree. Also, they should have studied two subjects at the Bachelor level that they want to specialize in. If the candidate has not studied two school subjects at the degree level, then they must have studied at least one of the subjects at the 10+2 level, having at least 55% marks.
Also, if the candidate has secured at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam, they can apply.

The College offers several amenities to the pupils. The College campus boasts of a library, playgrounds, health center, gyms, computer hubs, conference rooms, laboratories, indoor stadiums, among others.
Besides, a Placement Cell for securing good placements for the students has been set up. Based on merit, the College offers a range of scholarships and fee concessions as well.
