Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, Delhi

The Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences (SRCAS) for Women is managed by the Government of NCT of Delhi. The SRCAS commenced operations during the year 1989 and has affiliation with the University of Delhi (DU). The SRCAS was set up to honor the memory of Shivaram Rajguru. He was an Indian revolutionary and contributed to free India from British rule. And through three decades that the College has been functioning, the institute has been working for making women self reliant. The SRCAS invites applications for courses at undergraduate levels – including the Bachelors and Bachelors (Hons) programs. The College equips the pupils with the requisite theoretical and practical knowledge to meet the demands of a dynamic business scenario.

Also, the College faculty members are competent mentors who guide the pupils to become professionals. More so, the College strives to balance academics with extracurricular activities. Thus, the College convenes various societies, councils, clubs and social initiatives for encouraging the pupils to partake in different events.

Additionally, seminars, workshops and conferences are organized to enhance learning of classroom concepts.

Courses
Students have a wide choice in UG courses and different disciplines to pursue at the College. They can enroll in fields such as Psychology, Food Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, among others. Other than that, the College conducts the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor in Management Studies (BMS) courses.

As part of the initial step to admit pupils in the College courses, the authorities release the cut-off scores. Also, the minimum eligibility norms for the selected courses are mentioned. Subsequently, the eligible candidates can apply.

Though, aspirants of the BMS and BBA courses have to appear for the entrance test that DU conducts. Based on their scores, the authorities grant admissions on merit basis.

Amenities
The SRCAS campus is traced to East Delhi and provides an environment conducive for learning. Lush green gardens and sports arenas dot the College buildings. Besides, the College has provisions for canteens, auditoriums, medical centers, hostels, among others.
