Government College Sarni, Bagdona

The year 1989 marks the establishment of the Government College Sarni in Sarni which comes under the Betul district of India’s Madhya Pradesh state. The Jan Bhagidari Samiti (JBS) is entrusted with the responsibility of managing the operations of the college. Also, this government-aided college in Sarni has affiliation to the Chhindwara University that is traceable to Chhindwara city of Madhya Pradesh.

The objective of setting up this co-educational college was to empower the tribal and rural populace in Betul and other adjoining districts with quality higher education. In addition, the college provides a host of courses to create a pool of talented professionals to serve in various industries for the nation’s progress.

Initially, the college was conducting courses in the Arts stream only. Later, the college started hosting courses in the streams of Commerce and Science during the years 2004 and 2005 respectively.

Courses

At the Sarni Government College, students can pursue undergraduate-level courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce. These include the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Arts (BA), and Bachelor of Science (BSc).

Among postgraduate-level courses, the college conducts the Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Commerce (MCom) courses. The different specializations that the college offers as part of the MA program are Hindi, Geography, Sociology, and Economics.

Amenities

The campus size of the Government College in Sarni extends to over 11 acres of land. The college has a host of infrastructural resources on campus for developing the all-round personality of students. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, girls’ hostel, and playgrounds. Other than that, pupils can access the college library for reference books and other study resources.
