On March 13, 2020, the results of the Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering (GATE) 2020 were declared by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on their official website. The direct link for checking the GATE 2020 Results and Answer Key is gate.iitd.ac.in.
On February 2020, IIM Delhi made available the GATE 2020 provisional answer keys. And the candidates could challenge the answer keys until February 21, 2020.
Also, across India and abroad, the GATE 2020 exam was held in different centers on varying dates.
As per the Times of India report, in 2020, the total number of candidates who registered for GATE was 8,58,890 for 25 papers. Though, only 6,85,088 of the total number of registered applicants gave GATE 2020. Further, over 18 percent of aspiring candidates qualified for the examination

About GATE
GATE is held for testing the candidate’s understanding of different undergraduate subjects in the fields of Science and Engineering. Going by their scores attained in the entrance exam, on merit basis, the admission process of the aspiring candidates for the postgraduate courses ensues. Various renowned institutes consider GATE scores to grant admissions into their postgraduate programs to the aspirants.
GATE is conducted through a joint partnership between the Indian Institute of Science and seven IITs – including Mumbai, Chennai, Guwahati, Kanpur, Roorkee, Kharagpur, and Delhi.
The institutes hold GATE on the behalf of the National Coordination Board of GATE that works under the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) of the Government of India.
