The year 2004 marks the establishment of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) University, Sikkim. The institute has been accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to hold degree courses. Also, the university has been granted permission by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to conduct the BBA-LLB (Hons.), BA-LLB (Hons.) that run for 3 years and the LLB programs that are for 3 years. Moreover, the Academic Council oversees the academic issues, pertaining to the institute.

The ICFAI was established in the year 1984 in the Indian state of Telangana. The institution is a non-profit entity and holds courses across India. The founders of the establishment are Besant C. Raj, Dr. Prasanna Chandra, and N.J. Yasaswy. Having a nation-wide presence, the center has instituted 11 universities throughout India, including in India’s Sikkim state.

The aspirants can avail a number of graduate and post-graduate courses at ICFAI, Sikkim. The various disciplines under which the institute offers courses include Management, Law, Social Studies, Humanities, and Information Technology – amongst others.

The University campus extends to over 50,000 square feet of land and is located at Ranka Road, Siachey, Gangtok, Sikkim. At the university grounds, there are several facilities that the students can avail. These include lecture rooms, well-maintained classrooms, Wi-Fi services, meeting rooms, computer center, indoor sport grounds, faculty rooms, library, and Cafeteria – to name a few.

At ICFAI, Sikkim, the Board of Governors comprise of the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor – amongst other members. The University’s Vice-Chancellor is the head of the Board of Management.
