Delhi Nursery admissions 2025-26 to begin from 25 November 2024
The Directorate of Education, Delhi Government, has released the admission schedule for entry-level classes (below six years of age) in private unaided recognised schools for the 2025-26 academic session.
The schedule covers Open Seats admissions, which are for categories other than Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Disadvantaged Groups (DG), and Children with Special Needs (CWSN).
Delhi’s Directorate of Education (DoE) is scheduled to declare the results of the Delhi EWS Admission Lottery for the session 2025-26 on the official website at edudel.nic.in.
Delhi Nursery Admission 2025-26: Key Dates
The Directorate of Education, Delhi, has declared the dates for students belonging to the Economically Weaker and Disadvantaged Group (EWS/DG) category for admission into Nursery, PG, KG, First, and Pre-Primary classes (Class 1 to 9).
Students who come from impoverished backgrounds are eligible to apply under the EWS/DG admission quota. Select DSEAR schools in Delhi have 25% seat reservations for students who hail from poor backgrounds.
However, applicants who are applying for such reservations are advised to read the eligibility criteria and apply only if they are eligible. Also, they have to submit the mandatory documents and fill out the application form as part of the application process.
List of schools recognized under DSEAR, 1973 and schools provisionally recognized under RTE ACT, 2009 who will be a part of these online admissions.

Delhi EWS School Admission (edudel.nic.in) 2025-26: Enrollment
Several students do not belong to any special category and they come under the EWS category and Disadvantaged Groups. Such groups have financial problems; thus, they do not have the funds to complete their basic school education. The Government of Delhi has introduced the EWS Admission quota to support students coming under such categories. These students can enroll for Kindergarten, Nursery, Pre-Primary, and First classes under the EWS/DG reservation quota.

Delhi EWS School Admission 2025-26: Eligibility Criteria
The Directorate of Education has laid down the eligibility norms for students who want to apply under the EWS/DG quota for admission into Nursery and other classes, as seen below:
- The applicant has to be a resident of Delhi and belong to the EWS / DG category
- The aspirant has to apply via the official website of the Education Department of the Government of NCT of Delhi, https://www.edudel.nic.in/
- The annual income of the applicant’s family must not be over Rs 1 lakh per year
- The aspirant’s family residential area should be about 1000 square feet

As part of the EWS/DG Registration Process, applicants must follow the below-mentioned instructions:
- Go to the official web portal of the Directorate of Education, https://www.edudel.nic.in/.
- Locate and then click the “Government School Admissions” tab on the website home page.
- On the subsequent page, click on the “Online Registration Form (Generation of Login ID)” tab.
- Fill out the online application form and pay the registration fees and you will then receive your “Login ID” and “Password”.

Applicants who want to apply for EWS/DG Admission Delhi 2025 are required to fill out the online admission form on the official web portal of the Directorate of Education Portal. Here are the steps to apply online For EWS Admission Delhi 2025-26:
- The first step is to browse the official web link of the Directorate of Education Portal, https://www.edudel.nic.in/.
- Now, locate the “EWS / DG Admissions and EWS Freeship Admissions” tab.
- On the following page, click on the “Instructions Download” tab and read all the given instructions for applying carefully.
- After studying all the instructions, you should log in to your account.
- Upon logging in, continue by filling out the Online Application Form with all the mandatory details
- Upload all the scanned copies of documents in the prescribed format and thereafter, click on the “Submit” button.
- Maintain a hard copy of the filled application form for your records
