by The Banaras Institute of Teachers Education (BITE), traced to Varanasi city of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, was set up in the year 2003. Also, the BITE has been affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth in Varanasi since the year 2004. Even BITE has been accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC).
At the BITE, aspirants can apply for undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in the fields of Education, Arts, and Commerce.
The BITE faculty team stresses on the importance of maintaining a balance between academics and activities. As such, a host of extra-curricular activities are organized on campus for increasing interaction between students and staff members for taking a break from academics.
Courses
The BITE has provisions for an array of courses. Among undergraduate-level courses, the college offers the Bachelor of Education (BEd), Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd), Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Commerce. As far as postgraduate-level programs are concerned, BITE conducts the Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Commerce (MCom) programs.
Moreover, BITE offers various specializations under the MA courses. These include Hindi, Sociology, and Home Science.

The campus size of BITE spans 5 acres of land and it is well-equipped with infrastructural resources for driving the pupils’ overall development. Gymnasiums, auditoriums, medical centers, and sports grounds are some facilities that are made available to the students on the college campus. Additionally, college students can access the library on campus for books and educational aids for reference purposes.
