Deenanath Pandey Rajkiya Mahila PG College Deoria

The year 1965 marks the establishment of the Deenanath Pandey Rajkiya Mahila PG College Deoria in Sakaldikha in the Deoria district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The NAAC has accredited the DPRMPGC with the ‘B’ grade. Furthermore, the DPRMPGC enjoys affiliation with the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University of Gorakhpur in UP. Late Ram Kumar Pandey is the founder of the DPRMPGC. Also, this College has been named after him to recognize his contribution. By setting up the DPRMPGC, he realized his dream of developing a prestigious higher educational institution in the backward areas of the UP state.

The DPRMPGC offers courses at UG and PG levels in the disciplines of Arts and Education.

Courses

UG Courses

Among UG courses, the DPRMPGC holds the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program in 11 subjects. These include Hindi, Geography, Physical Education, Sanskrit, English, Ancient History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, and Defense Studies.

Out of these 11 subjects, students have to choose 3 subjects with the stipulated restrictions as specified by the College.

The Faculty of Graduate Education of the DPRMPGC conducts the Bachelor of Education (BEd) course.

PG Courses

Under PG courses, the DPRMPGC has the Master of Arts (MA) course in various subjects. These include Hindi, English, Sociology, Political Science, and Geography.

Amenities

The DPRMPGC campus has been developed with an array of facilities to propel the holistic development of the pupils.

The College has the Raghuraj Singh hostel, a Girls’ hostel, to accommodate students who reside far away from the College. Plus, the College contains a library, with a huge collection of books.

Other than that, the College provides canteen facilities and sports centers. Laboratories and medical aid are among other amenities that are available to the College pupils.

Furthermore, keeping in mind the importance of extra-curricular activities, the College organizes Ranger and Rover programs on campus. More so, the NCC and NSS units on the College campus host a spate of society-driven initiatives that seek the pupils’ participation.
