Delhi College of Arts & Commerce, Delhi

The year 1987 marks the establishment of the co-educational Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC), which is located at Netaji Nagar in Delhi. The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi partially finances the College. Also, the DCAC is a constituent college of the University of Delhi. As part of the College learning, the students are taught via classroom sessions, workshops, lectures, industrial visits, and seminars.

Apart from their academic pursuits, the College students can undertake social responsibility projects too. By doing so, they become familiar with societal problems and can contribute to their resolution.

The College, also, has experienced faculty members who are committed to the holistic development of the pupils.

Courses
At DCAC, the pupils can apply for several undergraduate courses in the field of Arts and Commerce. These include the Bachelor in Honours courses as well. The pupils pursue programs in streams such as Journalism, Economics, History, English, Political Science, among others.

The general eligibility of the undergraduate-level courses of the College requires the candidates to pass the Intermediate exams while scoring at least 45% aggregate marks and from a recognized educational board.

For admitting pupils in the College courses, the appointed authorities consider the qualifying exam scores. And the selection of candidates is strictly on merit basis.

Amenities
Developed on around 5 acres of land, the DCAC campus offers several amenities to the pupils. They have well-equipped classrooms, health care facilities, laboratories, cafeterias, computer hubs, auditoriums, sports grounds, among others.

Also, as part of the College infrastructure, the campus has multi-purpose halls and media labs – to list a few.

Moreover, the College has a series of Cells to promote the students’ interests. Women’s Cell, Cultural Society, Equal Opportunity Cell, Enactus Society, and Advertisement Cell – all are part of the DCAC. Besides, the Placement Cell of the College works to offer suitable placements to the students.
