by In the year 1990, the Government College Ater, traceable to the Bhind district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, was set up. The Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh started the college to cater to the higher education needs of residents hailing from the adjoining districts.
The Ater Government College has affiliation to Jiwaji University which is located in Gwalior city of Madhya Pradesh.
