The Government Girls College, DLW, was founded in May 2000 in the Varanasi city of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The Government of Uttar Pradesh set up this all-girls college to meet the rising higher educational needs of the female population hailing from the rural and semi-urban districts of Southern Varanasi. Also, this girls-only college has affiliation to the Mahatma Gandhi kasha Vidyapith in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. Even the NAAC has accredited the college with the “B” grade.
Aspirants can pursue courses in the fields of Arts and Commerce at the college. Moreover, the college has departments of Home Science, Psychology, Physical Education, Sanskrit, English, Sociology, Economics, Hindi, and History.
Besides, the college encourages the pupils to partake in a host of activities that are organized on campus to strike a healthy balance between academics and activities.
