by The Government Degree College at Bibinagar in Bulandshahr (GDCBB) in the Uttar Pradesh state of India started operations from the year 2006 onwards. Having affiliation to the ChaudharyCharan Singh University in Meerut, the GDCBB works under the Department of Higher Education of the UP Government. To provide higher education to the residents about BB Nagar and neighboring districts, the GDCBB was set up.
The GDCBB has the Department of Humanities that conducts courses in the field of Arts. Also, plans to start courses such as the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Science (BSc), and Master of Arts are underway.
Along with classroom education, the College faculty members also drive the pupils to participate in extracurricular activities. A healthy balance of academics and activities helps to develop the overall personality of the pupils.
Courses
The GDCBB offers the Bachelor of Arts (BA) course that runs for 3 years on a full-time basis.
Campus
The GDCBB campus extends over 5 acres of land and has a host of infrastructural amenities. The College campus is dotted with green trees that make the environment conducive for both teaching and learning.
Also, the College campus houses a well-stocked library that offers several educational aids. Wi-Fi connectivity and medical care are among other amenities that the College provides to the students.
Additionally, the College conducts initiatives for protecting the surrounding environment under the ‘Club’. Here, both students and faculty members have to actively participate in drives for generating awareness about environmental issues. These initiatives are aimed at addressing deforestation, soil conversation, and pollution problems.
As part of the Club activities, the College staff also organizes seminars and lectures for spreading information about eco-friendly measures. More so, the College contains NSS units that work in partnership with the Club for hosting a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
