Government Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya Bhopal

Since the year 1960, the Government Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya, traced to Bhopal that is the capital city of India’s Madhya Pradesh state, has been conducting academic sessions. Also, this college has been named after the Late Shri Motilal Nehru, a renowned freedom fighter. This government-aided institution comes under the administrative control of the Department of Higher Education of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. In addition, this college enjoys affiliation to the Barkatullah University that is traceable to Bhopal city in Madhya Pradesh. The NAAC has bestowed the college with the “A” grade.

The college conducts courses in the Science stream at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Along with academics, the college students have to take part in extracurricular and co-curricular activities as part of their overall grooming process.

Courses
The Government Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya has provisions for the Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MSc) programs. The college offers a variety of specializations as part of the BSc and MSc courses. Among the different specializations under the MSc course are Mathematics, Microbiology, Military Science, Zoology, Biotechnology, Physics, Geology, and Statistics.

The eligibility criteria of the BSc program require the applicants to complete 10+2 from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks. For admission into the MSc course, aspirants have to secure a BSc degree from a UGC-recognized university with minimum 50% marks in relevant subjects.

Campus
The campus size of the Government Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya is 15 acres. Also, the college campus is equipped with modern infrastructural resources to facilitate the development of students into responsible, balanced, socially-aware, and value-oriented citizens of the country. Auditoriums, playgrounds, and sanitation facilities are some facilities that are offered by the college to the pupils. Also, the college campus houses a library called the “Indira Gandhi Pustkalaya”. Students are granted access to the library for borrowing books, journals, magazines, and newspapers.
