Jagat Taran Girls Degree College, Allahabad

Founded in 1975 by the Jagat Taran Education Society, Jagat Taran Girls Degree College is a constituent College which is affiliated under the University of Allahabad. It was established with aim of imparting quality education and assists in all round development of women through training, workshops and extra-curricular activities and hence promotes women empowerment.

Jagat Taran Girls Degree College is a constituent college of the University of Allahabad since 2005. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is awarded and accredited “A” Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The faculty of Arts and Commerce provides excellent education and training. Moreover, campus placement is also very active here. Jagat Taran Girls Degree College offers government aided Bachelors degree in Arts like B.A. in Ancient History, English Literature, Education, Economics, Geography, Hindi, Music (Vocal & Tabla), Philosophy, Political Science, Sanskrit and Sociology. It also offers self-financed B.Com in Commerce subjects. It also offers certificate programmes in Computers and Soft skill & Personality Development.

Admission Procedure
Admissions in B.A. Courses are decided through the performance in combined UGAT test conducted by the University of Allahabad. Moreover, combined entrance test for commerce conducted by the University of Allahabad are done for admission in B.Com. Admission to DCA (Diploma in Computer Application is done through Combined Entrance Test conducted by the Institute of Professional Studies, University of Allahabad.
