This institute is established in the year 1949 and was inaugurated by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. For the past 70 decades this institute has been the pioneer in the field of Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and conducting noteworthy research since its inception. It is also famous for its long collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
Courses offered by JK Institute of Applied Physics and Technology
The department offers courses in the fields of Electronics & Communication and Computer Science like degrees of bachelor of technology, master of technology and Master of Science. These are B.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering), B.Tech. (Computer Science Engineering), M.Tech (Electronic Engg.) M.Tech. (Computer Science) and D.Phil programme in Electronics & Communication and Computer Science. These courses have been designed to meet the present demanding needs of the nation.
Admission Procedure
The department offers admission to the undergraduate students through Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE-MAINS) conducted by CBSE and Central Counseling Board. Post Graduate (M.Tech) admission is decided on the basis of the candidate’s performance in GATE.
