by The Kirori Mal College (KMC) was set up by the Seth Kirori Mal Charitable Trust during the year 1954. KMC is one of the oldest constituent colleges of the University of Delhi (DU) and traceable towards the University Enclave or North campus of DU. The College conforms to the Nehruvian model of learning and works to provide higher education at affordable rates, having a public-funded institution status. Courses
KMC conducts an array of undergraduate programs in varied fields. They can submit their applications for courses in Economics, History, Political Science, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Geography, among others. Additionally, the College holds several language courses – including in languages like Sanskrit, Urdu, Hindi, and English.
Admission Process
For the student intake, the College releases the cut-off marks for the different courses. Then, the candidates who secure the requisite marks in the qualifying exam can apply. Subsequently, the College staff announces the Merit List and grants admissions to the selected candidates.
Amenities
Through the years, the College has developed to provide an array of amenities for the students. The KMC campus has an active placement cell for providing placements to the pupils. Apart from that, they can avail computer centers with internet connectivity.
Further, KMC has a computerized library, with over 150,000 books. The library subscribes to various journals and magazines as well.
Hostels, gymnasiums, sports arenas and cafeterias are among other amenities that the KMC offers. Medical aid can be availed by the College students too.
