by The establishment year of the Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic (PGDAV) College is 1957. Later, during the year 1958, the College started to conduct evening classes. The PGDAV College (Evening) was set up to serve the higher education needs of working persons. The official website of the PGDAV College (Evening) is www.pgdaveve.in.
Under the aegis of the DAV Management & Trust and one of the premier business houses of Delhi, Pannalal Girdharlal, the PGDAV College was instituted. The PGDAV College campus is traced to Nehru Nagar in New Delhi. The DAV Managing Committee runs the PGDAV College (Evening), which is one of the constituent ones of the University of Delhi.
The College pupils pursue undergraduate courses in Science, Commerce, and Arts streams. The College conducts programs in Mathematics, Political Science, Hindi, Commerce, among others.
Courses
A range of Bachelors and Bachelors with Honors programs are held at the PGDAV College (Evening). Under Arts and Science streams, aspirants can apply for regular and Honours courses under Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce ones. Under Bachelor of Science Honours courses, they can submit their applications for Mathematics.
Also, the College holds a range of Add-On programs in Legal Awareness, Computer Language, and Tally Software.
Amenities
The PGDAV College campus has been developed with modern infrastructural facilities. The students have access to fully-equipped libraries, lecture rooms, and laboratories. Under library resources, the College provides a rich collection of books and journals for students’ reference.
For their extracurricular activities, the College has sports arenas where the students can partake in indoor and outdoor sports. Also, a medical center with first aid resources is available on the College campus. Apart from that, banks and canteens are made available for the students and faculty members.
For the overall wellbeing of the College students, several cells have been set up on the campus as well. The Placement Cell and Internship Cell extend placement assistance and internship opportunities, respectively. More so, the College campus contains the Entrepreneurship Cell, Research & Development Cell, Yoga Club, Photography Club, among others.
