Ramanujan College started functioning during the year 1958 under the name of Deshbandhu College (Evening) for boys. Then, in the year 1972, the College came under the University of Delhi and started being fully funded by the University Grants Commission. Later, the College became a co-educational college in the year 1994. Thereafter, in the year 2010, the institution was named to Ramanujan College. The Ramanujan College is situated at Kalkaji in New Delhi.
In the year 2018, the College was ranked 26th among the leading colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Moreover, the NAAC accredited the College with ‘A’ grade during the year 2016.
Presently, the College holds a range of courses in varied disciplines. These include Vocational Studies, Management, Commerce, Social Sciences, and Humanities.
Courses
The Ramanujan College offers an array of undergraduate-level courses. Aspirants can apply for Bachelors and Bachelors (Hons.) courses at the institution. They can enrol for courses in Vocational Studies, Commerce, Management Studies, Political Science, English, Hindi Economics, Philosophy, Applied Philosophy, Computer Science, Statistics, among others.
As per the eligibility criteria of the College programs, the applicants must pass the Class XII examination from a recognized board or university for admission in the undergraduate programs.

Ramanujan College campus has been equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities. The College has a medical center to provide healthcare facilities to the students. Also, the College has well-maintained classrooms and laboratories.
Aside from that, the College provides facilities including a cafeteria, auditoriums, sports arenas, among others.
More so, the College has set up the Internal Quality Assurance Cell for improving the quality of its academic and other related activities.
Moreover, the Anti-Ragging Cell of the College was constituted to curb ragging on the College campus, and thereby, create a safe learning environment for all.
