Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Delhi

The Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS) comes under the University of Delhi and started conducting academic sessions from the year 1987 onwards. The Delhi Administration set up the SSCBS. Previously, the SSCBS was known as the College of Business Studies. Though, later on, the institution was named after Sukhdev Thapar, who was a revolutionary Indian freedom fighter and lost his life during the struggle. The SSCBS specializes in the fields of Information Technology and Management. Now, within three decades, the College has gained repute as a premier undergraduate school.

The College faculty members are competent and maintain the highest academic standards for developing the students into competitive professionals.
Also, as part of the College pedagogy, the faculty members give several opportunities to the pupils for realizing their academic potential. Project work and summer internships impart practical experience to the students while complementing with classroom sessions.

Courses
SSCBS conducts four courses in all. The College admits pupils in courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate diploma level. The UG courses include the BSc in Computer Science, Bachelors of Financial and Investment Analysis (BFIA), and Bachelors in Management Studies (BMS) ones.

With respect to admissions in the BFIA and BMS programs, the candidate’s DU JAT scores are considered.

Also, students pursue the Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber and Security Law course at SSCBS. To ascertain the suitability of the candidate for this program during admissions, the examiners conduct screening rounds, including the personal interview ones.

Also, for admissions to the College courses, the applicant is required to pass Class XII exams from a recognized university. More so, they must pass individually in all subjects (including practicals).

For admissions, the DU declares the cut-off marks. And the eligible candidates are, then, invited to submit their applications.

Amenities
With a view to promoting the holistic development of the students, the SSCBS campus has been developed with a host of facilities. Students can avail the College library services for books and other educational resources. Aside from that, the SSCBS has computer centers, seminar rooms, shuttle service, canteens, playgrounds, gymnasiums, among others.
