The Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) was started as the Commercial School during the year 1920. Earlier, in the year, a group of businessmen set up the Commercial Education Trust that constituted the School. Eventually, in the year 1926, the School started specializing in the field of Commerce and Economics institutions and came to be known as SRCC. The SRCC was named to honor the memory of the founder Sir Sri Ram. Also, SRCC has affiliation with the University of Delhi. The official website of SRCC is https://www.srcc.edu/.
At SRCC, aspirants can apply for courses ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate to postgraduate diploma ones. They can enrol for programs in Arts and Commerce disciplines.
Courses
Under Bachelors’ degree programs, aspirants can apply for the following courses: Bachelors in Commerce (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics.
In Postgraduate courses, the SRCC offers the Masters in Commerce and Master of Arts (Economics) ones. Also, the College invites applications for the Post Graduate Diploma in Global Business Operations program.
For UG admissions, the SRCC considers the ‘Best Four’ which include 3 elective or academic subjects and one language one. On the basis of their marks, the candidates receive admission on merit basis.
Through for admissions to the PG and post-diploma PG programs, the applicants have to first register, following which they have to appear for an entrance exam. The authorities, then, select candidates based on their performance in the entrance examination.
Amenities
The students are provided with a host of facilities by the SRCC. The College campus is equipped with gymnasiums, banks, computer centers, separate girls and boys hostels, health care units, among others.
More so, the College Placement Cell offers fellowships, articleships and internships to the pupils. The College grants scholarships to students hailing from financially-poor backgrounds as well.
Also, during the year 2019, Indian Today ranked SRCC 1st among all the Commerce colleges in India.
