by Established during the year 2005, the Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRM SIMS) is traced to Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India. Late Shri Ram Murti is the founder of this prestigious medical institute. Also, the Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust is the promoter of the SRM SIMS. More so, this medical college bears affiliation and has the approval of the MJP Rohilkhand University in Bareilly and the Medical Council of India, respectively. The SRM SIMS has provisions for conducting medical programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels – including clinical and para-clinical subjects.
The Medical Institute also has a tie-up with the SRM SIMS Hospital, which serves as a Trauma and Multi-Specialty Center. Further, the MBBS students are given medical training in the hospital on how to care for patients at the in-house hospital.
In addition, the College has research centers to find newer ways of medical treatment.
Courses
The SRMSIMS authorities accept applications for the undergraduate-level MBBS course and the postgraduate-level programs such as the MD and MS.
As part of the MBBS course, the candidates have to undergo an internship for 1 year – following their 3rd-year examination.
Eligibility Criteria
To seek admission in the MBBS course, the minimum qualification of the aspirant is to pass the Class 10+ 2 examination. Also, the minimum qualifying scores in the qualifying exam are 50% aggregate marks. Plus, the qualifying subjects in the qualifying subjects include English, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Biology.
Scoring the minimum qualifying marks in the NEET-UG also constitutes the eligibility criteria for the MBBS course. The applicants’ scores in both the Class 12th exam and the NEET-UG are considered by the authorities to grant admissions.
