The Andhra University in Visakhapatnam administers the state-level Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Aspiring candidates who want to gain admissions in the ME/MTech/MPharm courses that the participating colleges offer can apply for AP PGECET.
The applicant has to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (for BE/BTech courses) or pharmacy (for BPharm courses) to be eligible to apply.
If an applicant has qualified GATE and GPAT, then they are exempted from appearing for the AP PGECET. They are eligible for direct admissions.

AP PGECET: Eligibility Norms
Nationality:
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
Domicile:
He/she should be a permanent citizen of Andhra Pradesh
Age Limit:
The candidate has to be at least 21 years to be eligible to apply.
Educational Background:
For Engineering Courses:
The aspirant has to secure at least 50% in the qualifying exams i.e. BE/BTech; this is applicable for general category candidates.
For Pharmacy Courses
The candidate must score minimum 55% in the BPharm courses if they are applying through the general category.
AP PGECET: how to apply?
The AP PGECET authorities accept applications in online mode via the official website, sche.ap.gov.in. The steps in the application process are detailed below.
#Step 1: Payment of Application Fee
The candidate has to first remit the application fee. After successful payment, they will receive the Transaction ID via mobile number and email address.
#Step2: Registration
To register, the applicant has to enter various details. These include qualifying exam hall ticket number, payment ID, date of birth, and mobile number.
#Step 3: Fill Application Form
The candidate has to provide all details as mentioned in the application form.
Also, they have to choose their AP PGECET exam center and upload the mandatory documents.
They must scan their signature specimen and photograph, after which they should upload the scanned copies.
#Step 4: Review and submit application
After completing the above-mentioned steps, they have to review their application.
Then, they should click on the ‘Submit’ tab
The system will, then, generate the Confirmation Page
They must download a copy and follow by taking a print out for later reference.
Registration Process for Candidates for qualify GMAT and GPAT
The first step is to browse the official website, sche.ap.gov.in
Proceed by clicking on the Click ‘AP PGECET 2020 for GATE and GPAT qualifiers’ tab
The system will display the payment page, where the candidate has to tender the application fee
Follow by filling in the requisite details as seen in the application form
Submit the filled-in application form and take a print copy of the application
AP PGECET: Exam Pattern
The AP PGECET is held online for over 2 hours. The applicants have to answer 120 multiple-choice questions, which carry 1 mark each.
The medium of instruction of AP PGECET is English.
AP PGECET: Counselling
After the exam authorities announce the results, the selected candidates will be invited for the subsequent counseling sessions.
The candidates are shortlisted on merit basis – as per the scores gained in the GATE, GPAT, and AP PGECET.
Different counseling rounds are held separately for GATE-qualified and GPAT-qualified applicants.
The exam authorities allot seats as per seats availability.
The final step is for the selected candidates to visit the college where they have been allotted seats to complete the rest of the admission procedure.
