The Assam Science & Technological University bears the responsibility of holding the state-level Assam Combined Entrance Examination (ACEE). Aspiring candidates who are seeking admission in the engineering (BTech) courses that the participating institutes in Assam offer can apply for ACEE.
The ACEE is a state-government managed centralized entrance exam that is administered for admitting students in the public and private colleges across Assam.
Assam CEE: Eligibility Norms
Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply
Domicile: The applicant has to be a permanent citizen of Assam, having resided in the state for at least 20 years.
Age Criteria: The upper and lower age limit to apply for ACEE is 17 years and 24 years respectively.
For Engineering Degree (BTech) Courses:
Qualifying Examination: He/she is required to appear for the Class XII exam from a recognized university.
Qualifying subjects: The candidate has to pass the qualifying exam with subjects including English, Maths, Chemistry, and Physics.
Qualifying marks: The aspirant has to secure minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam if they are applying through the general category.
Assam CEE: Application Form
The ACEE application form is downloadable from the official website.
First, the aspirant must read the given guidelines, following which they have to register by sharing some basic details.
Post registration, they receive their login details. They have to, then, sign into their respective accounts with their username and password to access the online application form.
In addition to filling the application form, the candidates have to also upload the compulsory documents. These include a latest photograph and signature specimen.
After they submit the filled-in online application form, they have to take a print copy of the Challan if they are making payment via offline methods. The next step is to deposit the challan along with the application fee at any SBI branch. They should maintain a copy of Challan for record purposes.
To make online payment of application fee, they can use internet banking, credit card, or debit card.
Assam CEE: Exam Pattern
Candidates who are appearing for the Assam CEE should become familiar with the exam pattern as part of their preparation.
The Assam CEE is conducted over 3 hours, containing a total of 100 multiple-choice questions. They are awarded 4 marks for each correct answer while no marks are deducted for incorrect responses.
The Assam CEE question paper has various sections: Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
Assam CEE: Admit Card
The shortlisted candidates will receive their Admit Card. They can download their respective Admit Cards from the official website after they sign into their accounts. Admit Cards have to be carried to the exam hall for the examiners to verify their identity.
Assam CEE: Result
The candidates who have appeared for the Assam CEE will be able to check their scores after the authorities upload the results on the official website. Here, they have to enter their roll number. The system will, then, show the marks, ranks, and qualifying status of the candidate.
The Merit List will be released, displaying the ranks secured by the applicants.
Only the candidates who obtain the required marks are eligible for admissions into the participating colleges.
