About CCC (Course on Computer Concepts)

CCC Introduction
In today’s times, computers have, literally, taken over our lives. People around the world are relying on computers, and the Internet, to access information and, also, for connecting with others at large. In such a scenario, there is a need to educate more people on using computers. For the same, the NIELIT Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) has been introduced.

The CCC course is a basic-level IT Literacy program, with having focus on practical orientation. In fact, the National Task Force on Information Technology and Software Development recommended this computer literacy program. The course’s objective is to help people gain literacy in computers.

Upon course completion, the individuals can use computers for basic uses. As such, they can browse the internet, write personal/official letters, create small databases, prepare presentations, and access emails. Besides, small-sized business owners and others can become familiar with Information Technology and maintain their accounts on computers.

The CCC program has a duration of 80 hours: Theory (25 hours), Practical (50 hours) and Tutorials (5 hours). Basically, the program is a 2-week intensive one.

About NIELIT

The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) was previously known as the DOEACC Society. The NIELIT is an Autonomous Scientific Society. Also, the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MoE&IT) of the Government of India manages the NIELIT ’s administrative affairs. The NIELIT was set up to conduct Human Resource Development and other related activities – such as in the areas of Electronics & Communications Technology (IECT).

Indeed, the NIELIT actively engages in both Formal and Non-Formal education in areas of IECT. Moreover, the NIELIT is the National Examination Body that accredits institutions for conducting IT programs that pertain to the non-IT sector.
