The Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) is designed by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT). The objective of this course is to provide basic literacy of computers to the common man. The official website of NIELET is http://nielit.gov.in.
Upon completing the course, the incumbents are able to work on computers for basic personal and official purposes. Likewise, they can browse the Internet, check emails, write letters, and prepare presentations. Also, housewives and business communities can have small accounts on computers and become part of the Information Technology world. For this reason, the course is more practical-based.
The CCC course has an 80-hour duration, spanning 2 weeks. The course includes Theory (25 hours), Tutorials (5 hours), and Practicals (50 hours).
Who Conducts the CCC Course?
There are specific institutions that impart education and training for the CCC. NIELET authorizes the institutes to conduct the programs. Even so, the pupils can learn via self-learning mode while applying as direct candidates to appear for the NIELET CCC exam. Then, after the pupils complete the CCC, take the exam and, subsequently, score the qualifying exam marks, they receive the CCC certificate.
How to Pass the CCC Exam?
To pass the CCC exam, the incumbents should work on practice questions on a regular basis. For the same, they can download model question papers from various sites as part of their practice for the CCC examination.
Also, there are previous years’ question papers that are available for giving more practice to the candidates.
The CCC exam consists of 100 objective-type questions, having a total of 100 marks. The applicants have 1 hour to answer the questions. The qualifying marks for the examination are 50%. This means that only those candidates who score minimum 50% marks are eligible for the CCC Certificate. Note that there is no system of negative marks.
After 15 days from giving the CCC exam, the NIELET authorities declare the results of the CCC exam. The candidates have to visit NIELET’s official website for accessing their respective results.
Moreover, the certificates of the successful candidates are uploaded on the official website as well. The incumbents have to visit the site and download their respective certificates.
