The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB), or CG Vyapam, holds the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG PET). Through CGPET, aspiring candidates can gain admissions in the different government and private colleges across the Chhattisgarh state.
The CGPET assesses the eligibility of aspirants for 3 courses: Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, and Engineering. There are 41 colleges in all that offer admissions to applicants on the basis of their performance in the CGPET.
CG PET: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the CG PET, the applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria.
Qualifying examination: The applicants must clear the Class XII exam (or any equivalent examination). Plus, they should have Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects.
Qualifying Marks: Candidates who are applying through the general category should secure at least 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. In the case of reserved category candidates, they have to get minimum 40% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible.
Age Limit: The upper and lower age limit to apply to CG PET is 17 years and 30 years respectively. However, if applying via the reserved category, then the candidates are given 3 years relaxation; they can apply up to the age of 33 years.
CG PET: Application Process
The CG PET authorities accept applications in online mode. The various steps of the CG PET application process are detailed below:
#Step 1: Registration
The first step is to browse the CG PET application process to register. During registration, the candidates have to furnish basic info, following which they receive their username and password.
#Step 2: Fill in the details in the application form
The candidate has to sign in to their accounts using their login credentials. Then, they can download the application form. The next step is to provide both academic and personal details as specified in the application form.
#Step 3: Tender application fee
The candidates can pay the application fee via online methods. These include debit cards, internet banking, and credit cards.
CG PET: Exam Pattern
The CG PET is held in offline mode, having duration of 3 hours. The candidates have to answer a total of 150 questions, with the question paper totaling 150 marks. They score 1 mark for correct responses while no marks are deducted for incorrect responses.
CG PET: Admit Card
After the deadline for receiving applications expires, the examiners release the Admit Cards of the eligible candidates. The applicants should, then, visit the official website to download their respective Admit Cards.
Admit Card is a mandatory document that the candidates must carry to the exam hall for the examiners to confirm their identity.
CG PET: Declaration of Results
The CG PET results are declared online. The candidates have to log in to their accounts on the official portal to access the Merit List and Scorecard. The Scorecard contains the candidate’s marks and overall rank.
CG PET: Counseling
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Chhattisgarh holds the CG PET counseling rounds via online mode. The counseling sessions entail filling of college choices, document verification, seat allotment, fee payment, and reporting.
