Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Entrance Exam (COMEDK UGET) Result 2023

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has the responsibility of conducting the state-level COMEDK Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET). The COMEDK UGET is held for admitting students into the engineering and architecture courses that the participating institutions offer; over 120 colleges accept COMEDK scores. 

An important point to note is that candidates who want admissions in BArch programs via COMEDK should first appear for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), following which they can participate in COMEDK counseling rounds for seat allocation.

COMEDK GET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

For Engineering Courses:

Qualifying exam: He has to pass Class XII or equivalent exams from a certified educational board. 

Qualifying subjects: The applicant should have studied PCM subjects, along with English as a compulsory subject.

Qualifying marks: The candidate must score minimum 45% aggregate marks in PCM subjects. More so, they should pass each of the PCM subjects individually. More so, out of the PCM subjects, the compulsory subjects have to be Maths and Physics. And instead of Chemistry, they can also have Electronics, Computer Science, Biology, or Bio-Technology as optional ones.

Diploma holders are not eligible for COMEDK UGET because no lateral admission system prevails.

For Architecture Courses:

Qualifying exam: The aspirant has to pass the 10+2 exam or secure a Diploma

Qualifying subjects: In the case of Class XII pass candidates, they are required to have Maths as one of the subjects in the qualifying exam.

Qualifying marks: He/she has to secure at least 50% aggregate marks.

NATA-qualified candidates: Aspiring candidates for the BArch courses do not have to appear for any entrance exam because the examiners consider their NATA scores for admissions.

COMEDK UGET: Application Process

The COMEDK UGET authorities accept online applications. The admission process is studied below:

Registration: For registration, the candidates have to provide basic personal details, including mobile number and email ID. After successful registration, the system generates username and password.

Filling the application form: Using their username and password, the candidate has to log in to his/her account on the official portal to download the application form. They have to also fill in the required particulars in the form.

Upload documents: The applicant has to also upload the requisite documents during the application process. These include scanned copies of educational documents, signature specimen, and photograph.

Select test centers: The COMEDK UGET is held in over 300 centers. The applicant can choose up to 3 centers. 

Pay application fee: The application fee can be paid via debit card or credit card or internet banking.

Submit application: Make sure that all the details are entered correctly before submitting application. Also, maintain a print copy of the Confirmation Page for later reference.

COMEDK UGET: Admit Card

The COMEDK UGET authorities candidates will release the Admit Cards of the selected candidates on the official website. The candidate has to log in to his/her account to access their Admit Card. Moreover, they have to take a printout of the Admit Card.

The Admit Card contains various details such as name of the candidate, exam center, date of birth, address, among others.

It is mandatory for the applicants to carry their Admit Cards to the exam hall for the examiners to check their identity.

COMEDK UGET: Result

The COMEDK UGET examiners will upload the results on the official portal following the exam date. The results include subject-wise scores and the candidate’s rank. On the basis of the applicant’s merit rank, the authorities allot seats.
