Having affiliation with the Visvesvaraya Technological University, the Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) provides courses in various streams. At DSCE, aspiring candidates can apply for courses in Management, Pharmacy, and Engineering. The founder of the DCSE is Sri R Dayananda Sagar.
The DSCE convenes the Dayanand Sagar Admission Test (DSAT) for admitting students into their programs. The DSAT is held in online mode via a computer-based examination.
DSAT: Eligibility Criteria
- For the BE Course
Under the BE courses, the DSCE offers a range of specializations. These include Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
To qualify for the BE program, the aspirant is required to pass the 10+2 exam. Moreover, they should score 45% aggregate marks in subjects such as Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/Electronics, Computer Science.
- For the MTech Course
In ME courses, the aspirants can specialize in Design Engineering, Structural Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and VLSI Design & Embedded Systems.
To be eligible for the ME programs, the candidate is required to secure a BE/BTec/h degree or any equivalent qualification.
- For the MBA Course
He/she has to gain a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized board. Also, for general category candidates, they must pass the qualifying exam with minimum 50% aggregate marks. And in the case of reserved classes, they can avail 5% relaxation, so they should score at least 45% aggregate marks.
DSAT: Application Process
The DSCE accepts applications in online mode. The candidates have to submit their online applications from the official website of DSU.
The first step is to register for opening an account and receiving their login credentials. After they get their login details, they have to sign in to their respective accounts to download the online application form. Subsequently, they must furnish all details as mentioned in the form and pay the application fee via the various payment modes. More so, they should upload the requisite documents during application submission.
DSAT MBA Exam Pattern
Conducted online, the DSAT contains 75 multiple-choice questions – ranging from subjects such as English to General Aptitude. The exam duration is 2 hours and the medium of instruction is English. The questions each carry 1 mark while negative marking system is not followed.
DSAT: Admit Card
The eligible candidates can download their Admit Cards from the official website. Admit Card is an important document because it helps the examiners to establish their identity. So, the applicants should carry their Admit Cards to the exam hall.
Admit Cards contain information such as the candidate’s exam, exam venue, among other details. In cases where the applicant notices any mistakes in the Admit Card, they have to contact the relevant authorities, who will address their concerns and do the needful.
DSAT: Result
Following the exam date, the DSCE authorities release the Merit List of the selected candidates. On merit basis, the shortlisted applicants are called for the subsequent counseling and other rounds. The authorities consider the candidate’s aggregate marks in the entrance exam for admissions, given that they satisfy the eligibility norms.
