The candidate has to be a native of Lakshadweep

The applicant has to pass SSLC or PDC examination by Boards that the Lakshadweep Administration recognizes. More so, the aspirants who have passed SSLC exam within 4 years from the application date are considered.

For the aspirants who are Lakshadweep residents and have at least one parent that is from Lakshadweep’s Scheduled Tribes, they have to study at one of Lakshadweep’s School/College for 5 years and should pass the institute’s qualifying exam to be eligible.
