Nagaland TET Eligibility, Application Form, Exam Pattern, Admit Card and Exam Result

Nagaland is a state that is traceable towards the northeastern region of India. In Nagaland, the Nagaland Teachers Eligibility Test (Nagaland TET) is conducted by the Nagaland Board of Secondary Education. The Nagaland TET is held at the state level for recruiting teachers at different levels that include the Primary (classes 1st to 5th) and Upper Primary (classes 6th to 8th) ones. The Nagaland TET aspirants can apply through the official website, http://www.nbsenagaland.com/.

The Nagaland TET incorporates two papers – including Paper-I and Paper-II. The candidates who want to teach Primary Levels have to apply for Paper-I; and if they want to teach Upper Primary classes, they should apply for Paper-II. The applicants who are interested in teaching classes I to VIII can apply for both Paper-I and Paper-II.

Keep in mind that the Nagaland TET authorities select only those candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria. Hence, the applicants are required to study the given eligibility norms and apply only if they are eligible.

The aspirants who qualify Nagaland TET receive the ‘Eligibility Certificate’, thus making the candidates eligible to apply for teacher posts in public and private schools across Nagaland. The Certificate is valid for 7 years from the date of issuance.

Nagaland TET: Eligibility Criteria

The following details contain information on the varied eligibility norms of Paper-I and Paper-II.

For Paper-I

The candidate has to pass 12th standard exams with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Also, they are required to complete the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or the 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education or the 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). If pursuing the final year of the aforesaid courses, then they can apply as well.

For Paper-II

The aspirant should have a graduation degree in any discipline and pass or has to be pursuing the 2nd year of the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Or

He/she has to be a graduate with at least 50% aggregate marks. More so, they have to pass or be pursuing the 1-year Bachelor in Education or the Bachelor in Education (Special Education).

Or

The applicant must pass 12th standard exams with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Moreover, they have to pass the 4-year BAEd or BScEd courses. Even if they are pursuing the final year of the above-mentioned programs, they are eligible for applying.

Nagaland TET: Application Process

The Nagaland TET application process is explained below.

• Browse the official website and study the given instructions.
• Register on the site and furnish details such as email address and mobile number.
• After receiving login details via email, sign in to account and download the Online Application Form.
• Provide the required details in the form.
• Follow by uploading a scanned copy of recent photograph and specimen signature.
• Proceed to pay the Application Fee. For the same, take a printout of the challan and keep 3 copies that have to be submitted at any SBI branch along with the required sum.
• After making the payment, add the transaction details to your application (such as deposit date, transaction ID, and deposit amount) and follow by clicking on the ‘Save’ button.
• Review application and go on to click on the ‘Submit’ tab.
• Maintain a copy of the ‘Confirmation Page’ that the system displays upon submitting application.

Nagaland TET: Admit Card

The eligible candidates receive Admit Cards from the Nagaland TET authorities after they process all applications. Admit Cards have importance because they are helpful to ascertain the candidate’s identity. In the exam hall, the authorities check the candidates’ Admit Cards prior to the exam. Only after checking the applicant’s Admit Cards, they are allowed to appear for the exam.

The aspirants have to download their Admit Cards from the official website. Upon browsing the site, they must click on the ‘Download Admit Card’ option, after which they have to enter a few basic details. Then, the system exhibits the Admit Cards and they can take a printout for later reference.

Nagaland TET: Exam Pattern

The Nagaland TET Paper-I and Paper-II contain 150 objective-type questions. The question papers amount to 150 marks each where each question carries 1 mark. For each question, four options are given. The candidates have to select the right option for scoring 1 mark. Also, no marks are deducted for selecting incorrect options.

The exam pattern of Nagaland TET Paper-I and Paper-II is as follows.

For Paper-I (5 sections)

• Language-I: 30 questions & 30 marks
• Language-II: 30 questions & 30 marks
• Maths: 30 questions and 30 marks
• Child Studies: 30 questions & 30 marks
• Environmental Sciences: 30 questions & 30 marks

For Paper-II (4 sections)

• Child Pedagogy: 30 questions & 30 marks
• Language-I: 30 questions & 30 marks
• Language-II: 30 questions & 30 marks
• Maths & Science or Social Science and any other subject: 60 questions & 60 marks

Nagaland TET: Exam Result

The Nagaland TET authorities declare the exam results on the official website. For accessing their results, the candidates must browse the official website and select the ‘Download Exam Result’ option. Thereafter, they have to enter some basic details (like Application Number and Date of Birth) after which the results are displayed on the screen. Then, they must take a printout of their results for record purposes.
