The conducting authority of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) is the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB). The TNTET is held on a state-level basis for teacher recruitment at Primary (classes I-V) levels and Upper Primary (classes VI-VIII) levels across India’s Tamil Nadu state.
For recruiting eligible Primary teachers, the Paper-I is conducted. On the other hand, Paper-II aims to employ teachers at Upper Primary levels.
The TRB’s official website is trb.tn.nic.in where the applicants can submit online applications. Also, upon clearing the TNT, the candidates receive the ‘Eligibility Certificate’ that is valid for 7 years. Then, they become eligible to apply for teacher positions in Tamil Nadu’s public schools.
