TS POLYCET 2024 Exam: Admission, Dates, Merit List, Eligibility

The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) of India’s Telangana state is the managing body of Telangana’s state-level ‘Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET)’ that is held in offline mode. The applicants who want admission in Telangana’s professional Diploma programs in the available engineering and non-engineering disciplines can apply. TS POLYCET Eligibility Criteria

Prior to filling the online application form, the aspiring candidates should study the eligibility criteria for the entrance exam.
Nationality: The applicant should be an Indian citizen and a resident of the Telangana state.

Age Criteria: The age limit is not specified.

Educational Qualification: The aspirant has to clear the 10th standard exam from recognized Boards. More so, they should score minimum 35% aggregate marks to qualify, with English as one of the compulsory subjects. If appearing for the qualifying exam, then also the candidates can apply.

TS POLYCET Application Form

During the months April-May, the online application form is accessible through the official website. There are 2 ways of applying to the entrance exam: offline and online.

For applying via offline mode, the applicant has to take a printout of the online application form. Thereafter, they should fill the required fields in the application form and follow by submitting at the helpline centers. Additionally, they are required to pay the application fee.

To apply online, the candidates have to register on the official site for downloading the online application form. The next step is to the fill in the required particulars in the online application form, after which they should proceed to pay the application fee. Subsequently, they have to submit their applications. However, they should make sure to have a printout of their filled application form as well.

TS POLYCET Admit Card

After the expiry of the deadline for receiving applications, the authorities upload the eligible candidates’ admit cards. On their part, the applicants have to download their respective admit cards from the official website. They have to sign in to their accounts and follow by downloading their admit cards. Further, they should take a print out of their admit cards. This is important because they have to carry the cards to the exam hall for the examining authorities to verify their identity.

TS POLYCET Exam Pattern

The question paper of the entrance test has 120 objective-type questions. The candidates are given 2 hours to answer the questions. There are 3 sections: Mathematics (60), Physics (30), and Chemistry (30). The question paper is available in 2 languages: English and Telugu. For incorrect answers, there are no negative marks.

TS POLYCET Syllabus

The exam authorities prepare the question paper on the basis of the 10th and 12th standard syllabus. The questions are on subjects such as Science and Mathematics.

TS POLYCET Exam Result

In the month of April, the exam results are viewable from the official website. On the site, they should click on the ‘Result’ option. Then, the system prompts them to enter details such as Roll Number, Application Number, and Date of Birth. Next, they should select the ‘Submit’ option, following which they can check and download their exam result. To qualify, the candidate has to score 36% marks out of the total of 120 in the entrance exam.

TS POLYCET Counseling

The counseling rounds are scheduled during April and conducted in online mode. On the basis of the candidates’ ranks, the authorities call the candidates for the counseling sessions. There are 3 rounds where the conducting authorities allot the seats based on the availability of seats.
As part of the counseling, there is verification of documents of the applicants. Additionally, the aspirant has to furnish their choices of colleges and courses. Then, after considering the candidates’ overall profile and choices, as well as seat availability, the seat allotment process ensues.

The final step in the admission procedure is for the candidates to visit the allotted colleges. Here, they have to pay the course fees and complete any remaining admission formalities.
