The Department of School Education that works under the Government of Telangana has the responsibility of organizing the Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test (TS TET) that is held on a state-level basis. In several Indian states, qualifying the Teachers Eligibility Test is a prerequisite for candidates who want to apply for teacher posts in government and privately-run schools of that particular state. The TS TET offers opportunities to the aspirants to apply for teacher posts in schools across the Indian state of Telangana. The candidates have to apply via the official website that is www.tstet.cgg.gov.in.
The TS TET incorporates two papers that include Paper-I and Paper-II. The aspiring candidates who want to become eligible to teach Primary Level classes (from 1st to 5th) have to appear for TS TET Paper-I. And those groups who are vying to teach Upper Primary Levels (from 6th to 8th) are to appear for TS TET Paper-II. The applicants who want to teach classes from 1st to 8th have to give both Paper-I and Paper-II.
Upon qualifying TS TET, the applicants get the ‘Eligibility Certificate’. With the certificate, they are eligible to apply for teacher positions in schools of Telangana for a period of seven years.
Bear in mind that qualifying TS TET does not confer rights of recruitment to the candidates; only they become eligible to apply for teacher positions in schools of Telangana.
