As per the latest Odisha Public Service Commission 2021 (or OPSC Recruitment 2021) notification, vacancies for 1871 posts have been declared. Eligible candidates can submit their applications for the posts of Assistant Surgeon and Medical Officers. The selected candidates will be part of the Odisha Medical and Health Service Cadre of the Health & Family Welfare Department.

To be eligible for the openings, the aspirants have to be between the ages of 21-35 years as of 1st January 2021. Some age relaxations are permissible as per the guidelines.
As far as educational qualification goes, applicants should have secured an MBBS or other equivalent degree from a recognized Medical College or Medical Institution in India. More so, having a Registration Certificate under the Odisha Medical Registration Act, 1961, is a must. In addition, they have to pay a non-refundable exam fee of Rs 500 via debit card or credit card, or other accepted payment modes.
Candidates who are applying for the OPSC Medical Officer posts have to give a selection test. The 3-hour written exam contains MCQ-based questions. No negative marking system is followed. The exam syllabus is based on the Medical Council of India’s syllabus for the M.B.B.S program.
