The body that conducts the entrance test for admission in the ITI courses in Delhi, which is recognized as a union territory or semi-state in India, is the Department of Training & Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory (NCT), Delhi.
Every year, a large percentage of India’s young population looks to get admission to the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) for gaining technical expertise in various engineering and non-engineering trades. Also, in Delhi, there are several applicants who prefer to apply to the ITI centres rather than opting for higher school studies.
To apply to the several ITI courses that are held in the colleges in Delhi, the aspirants first have to appear for an entrance test. The first step of the application process for the entrance test includes downloading the application forms from the official website ‘https://www.itidelhiadmissions.nic.in’. Here, the browsers have to click on the tab “New Candidate Registration”, following which the system will direct them to a page where they have to enter a few personal details, as part of the registration process. Thereafter, they will be supplied with a registration ID and password on the given mail addresses.
Subsequently, they have to log in with the given ID and password and fill in the online application form. Also, the applicants must have a copy of the application form for reference purposes. The application fee, also, has to be paid at the Government-run ITI colleges. Moreover, they have to carry the other required documents for the verification process during the visits.
After the given deadline for the application process, as per the schedule, the ITI authorities will upload the admit cards or hall tickets on the official website. The applicants have to download their respective admit cards and carry them to the exam hall. When requested by the authorities, the applicants must produce the admit cards.
Following the exam and on the stipulated dates, the exam results will be declared. Then, only those candidates who have passed the entrance exam will come to the merit list and be invited for the counselling sessions.
At the counselling sessions, the original documents of the applicants are verified by the committee members. Following the counselling rounds, the final merit list is drawn up. Thereafter, the candidates have to fill in their choice of trade, college, and ITI programs after logging into their account. Based on the candidates’ profiles and preferences, the authorities will allocate seats in the respective colleges. The applicants have to take a copy of the allotment letter and report on the mentioned dates at the specified colleges.
