NCVT CBT ITI Exam Date 2024 Announced: Check Your Schedule Now!

The National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) has the responsibility of conducting the ITI annual exam for all states in India. The NCVT holds exams for the vocational trade programs two times a year, including from January to February and July to August. The NCVT is scheduled to conduct the ITI CBT exam for 1st year and 2nd year students between 22 August 2024 and 09 September 2024. Students can access the official website to download the ITI CBT exam timetable and admit cards.

A large number of candidates enroll in the vocational training programs held by the Industrial Training Institutes every year. Students pursuing the 1st year or 2nd year of the ITI programs have to appear for the semester and annual exams held each year. The NCVT will make available the exam schedule for each state and release notification for the same in the month of July on the official portal. Students are advised to check the exam schedule and prepare accordingly.

Candidates are also required to download their admit cards via the official website as per the given schedule and bring the same to the exam hall. The exam authorities will check the admit cards of each student and their Identification Cards before allowing them to sit for the exam. The admit cards of students contain various details including Name, Roll Number, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Exam Venue, Exam Date, Application Number, Gender, Contact Number, and Signature, among others.

The NCVT ITI exams consist of theory and practical exams. Students who secure minimum 40% marks in both the theoretical exams and practical exams qualify the exam. After qualifying the ITI courses, youngsters can apply for jobs in the related streams. The ITI vocational programs help students develop skills and gain industrial experience, which prepares them to work in the given trades.

Across India, the different states manage several Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Industrial Training Centers (ITCs). The ITIs are managed by the government, and the ITCs are privately run. The National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) has been appointed by the Union Government of India to advise the various states on the conduct of the trade courses. At the Central level, the NCVT lays down the guidelines; while at the State level, the State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) oversees the administrative affairs of the technical training centers.

The annual and semester exams of the training institutes are regulated by the NCVT and SCVT.
