It was in the year 1969 that Assam Agricultural University (AAU) was established. The base of AAU is Jorhat in the Indian state of Assam. The University’s jurisdiction spans to the entire Assam state and the center is focused on providing education in Agriculture and Allied Sciences. AAU has several campuses and the University’s headquarters are located at Borbheta in Jorhat.
Situated in the North-Eastern region of India, AAU is only one of a kind. Towards the early years of the 20th century, the set-up of 2 research stations, the first at Karimganj in the year 1913 and the second at Titabor in the year 1923, were responsible for the establishment of Assam Veterinary College (AVC) in Nagaon and Assam Agricultural College (AAC) at Jorhat in the year 1948, which was shortly after India’s Independence from the British regime.
Then, in the year 1969, the Assam Agricultural University was instituted. Also, AAC was renamed as College of Agriculture with the center’s headquarters based in Jorhat. Also, AVC came to be known as the College of Veterinary Science and was shifted from Nagaon to Khanapura.
Over the years, AAU has established several constituent colleges and research stations as well. At the University, aspirants can enroll for courses in disciplines such as Agriculture Sciences, Management, Technology, and Fashion Designing.

Assam Agricultural University Result 2024: Check UG & PG Results
The Assam Agricultural University (AAU) uploads the results of the exams it conducts on its official website, http://www.aau.ac.in/. Any candidate who appears for the exams of the courses that the AAU conducts can check his/her result by browsing the AAU official website.
The AAU offers a host of UG and PG courses in various streams. It has different faculties under which the colleges operate. The various faculties at the AAU are the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Faculty of Community Science, Faculty of Fisheries Science, Faculty of Horticulture, and Faculty of Sericulture.
The AAU also announces the dates on which it will release the exam results beforehand. Students must visit the official website of the AAU to download their results on the given dates. On the website homepage, they have to click on the “Bulletin Board” tab and select “Result” from the drop-down menu. Next, they should click on the relevant result in the given list. The system then displays the PDF file that contains the exam result of the candidates.
