by In the year 2015, the Government of Uttar Pradesh proposed the formation of the J.S. University (JSU) that is traced to Shikohabad in the Firozabad district of India’s state of Uttar Pradesh. The JSU’s sponsoring body is the Sri Jagdish Jan Kalyan Educational Trust that was started by the University’s visionary leader, Shri Jagdish Singh Ji, with the objective of working towards educating people who live in the state’s rural areas. The JSU has been accredited by the University Grants Commission; the JSU’s official website is https://www.jsu.edu.in/Default.aspx.
The JSU conducts a variety of graduate, doctoral, and postgraduate programs in several fields; the aspirants can pursue courses in disciplines such as Management, Technology, and Sciences.
At JSU, the students’ performance is assessed through the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) – entailing presentations, tests, and projects. Besides, the University adopts the UGC-approved Choice-Based Credit System, which is designed to offer students a wider choice in courses; and the assessment is based on grades and credit system.
The JSU’s campus has, also, been designed with a host of facilities, for driving the pupils to become competent professionals, and excelling in their chosen fields of study.
On a regular basis, study groups and workshops are organized by the University as part of the co-curricular activities, in addition to their academic sessions, as well. In fact, the campus houses a Recreational Activities Center that has gymnasiums and sports arenas where the pupils can indulge in a range of activities. Other facilities that the JSU offers include hostels, support services for international students, library resources, and scholarships.
