Nagaland University is the 13th and only Central University in the North-Eastern State of Nagaland. This Central University was established by the Government of India in the year 1989 at Lumami in the District of Zunheboto as the University’s headquarters. However, there are three more campuses at Kohima, Medziphema and Dimapur. Since this is regarded as one of India’s premium Central Universities, it is recognized under the act of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University offers quality higher education to over 24000 students both on campus and at its 65 affiliated colleges all over Nagaland which are currently affiliated under the Nagaland University.
Nagaland University has 6 schools namely: Science, Social Science, Humanities & Education, Agricultural Sciences & Rural Development, Engineering & Technology and Management Studies. These schools consist of 37 departments and 6 centres of studies offering Undergraduate, Postgraduate and M.Phil. / Ph. D. programmes in various disciplines of study. The University has also made a drastic development in terms of its infrastructure like good construction and renovation of academic buildings, libraries, hostels, sports complexes, water supply and electricity.
Apart from this, the University also conducts state, regional and national level seminars and workshops which make learning more interesting for the students. Around 48 external research projects were handled by the faculty members of Nagaland University with a gross expenditure of 13.72 crores approximately during the year. Nagaland University (NU) releases the exam results of its courses on its official website, nagalanduniversity.ac.in. Candidates who appear for the NU course exams (semester or annual ones) should check its official website to download their results.
On the NU official website, students must go to the News section and click on the “Exam-related” and the “Results” tabs. Next, the system directs them to the “Results” page, where they have to select the relevant result link. Thereafter, they can view their results on the screen.
After checking their results, candidates must maintain a print copy of their examination results. Even they have the option of applying for revaluation of their exam papers.
The NU has 44 departments that conduct a host of UG, PG, and PhD programs. Among the various streams that the NU offers courses include Engineering & Technology, Sciences, Commerce, Arts, Management, and Agricultural Sciences. In all, the NU is affiliated to 69 colleges across the Indian state of Nagaland.
